When it comes to it, we don’t just ‘do’ your accounts. We do them compliantly, accurately and on time, but above anything else we scrutinize those accounts until we identify ways in which you can increase your profit or decrease your tax bill.
At Mountain Top, our team don’t believe that accountancy is just about reporting on money, we believe it’s about making you more.
The reason we opened the firm was simple. The time was right for the accounting industry to start offering clients what they needed to help them improve their businesses.

Mountain Top was started in 2021 by Ben Houston and he did it for a reason.
He wanted an accountancy firm that helped people, help them improve their businesses and help them save tax.
As an experienced accountant with over 15 years under his belt, Ben understands just how the industry works and it’s fair to say that he felt that clients deserved more from the service they were receiving. After working at three very well established, Devon based businesses, Ben decided the only way of offering clients that little bit more was to go it alone and open his own business. As a result, Mountain Top was born.
As Managing Director, Ben now oversees a team of experienced accountants. Everything we do is completely focused on increasing your profit and saving you tax … it is after all, our job to help your business reach the top.
